Quaduro Set To Launch New Tablet PC

Quaduro is set to launch a rugged tablet PC that has a flash memory drive at its core.

The Quaduro Quadpad E84 has an 8.4-inch touchscreen display and uses 8GB CompactFlash card to store data.

The Quadpad E84 runs off a 1GHz Intel Celeron M processor with 1GB of RAM, and graphics are powered by a 64MB nVidia chip. It operates Windows XP Embedded, Tablet Edition, Home or PRO. It weighs 1.19kg with its standard 3-cell battery.

Quaduro says the Quadpad E84 is aimed at laptop for business users who need a combination of durability and lightweight. Its 8.4-inch touchscreen has sunlight readable rating of 330 NITS and a resolution of 800x600.

Connectivity features include 3G and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi along with 10/100Mbps Ethernet and Bluetooth Class II. Tow USB 2.0 ports, a VGA connector for external monitors, headphone and microphone jacks and internal speakers make up the Quadpad's hardware set.

Optional accessories include a docking station, mini keyboard, 12V car adapter, AV adapter and a mini mouse.

Quaduro says the Quadpad E84 is geared toward the aviation, automotive, healthcare, sales force and warehousing industries.

The Quadpad E84 tablet PC will be available for retail in September.
