Tablet PCs are nifty and useful, there's no doubt about it. Yet what some people are starting to wonder is whether they're worth the large price; cheaper mini-notebooks offer a lot of the same stuff in a similarly sized package.
Microsoft's Miel announced that Microsoft Research is planning on releasing to the public next week an internal prototype, called InkSeine, that allows for some amazing inking on Tablet PCs. InkSeine can be installed on Tablets running Windows XP or Windows Vista (Premium, Business or better) and allows access to many features just by inking.
Glacier PC has introduced a Tablet PC primarily for outdoor workers to use. It was made to withstand water and humidity at any temperature. It's called the Ridgeline tablet and the Glacier wants you to know that it is built tough so the outdoor worker doesn't have to worry about dropping and breaking it.
